My perfect scented flower,

A flower for all seasons,

Resplendent in red hues,

Every dawn gracing it with a kiss.

It's mobile, always by my side,

Protected from daylight robbers,

No hand can handle it with such caution,

Droplets of water ensure its bloom.

With true love, I shower my flower,

Its picture forever in black and white,

Death absent from its dictionary,

These hands and mind understand its delicacy.

For eternity, it shall be mine,

Close to my heart, forever cherished,

I adore my special rose flower

POEM REVIEW

"MY ROSE FLOWER POEM" by Matilda Phiri is a heartfelt and charming poem that celebrates the beauty and significance of a special rose flower. The poem begins with an emphasis on the flower's appeal, describing it as a perfect, scented blossom that exists in the color red. The use of "every dawn it gets a kiss" adds a touch of tenderness and romanticism to the imagery.

The poet highlights the close bond between the speaker and the rose flower, symbolized by the line "Its mobile, with me I carry it along." This suggests a deep connection and personal attachment to the flower. The mention of protecting it from "day-light robbers" showcases the speaker's dedication and care towards their beloved flower.

The poem continues with the notion that the flower's beauty is sustained by droplets of water, keeping it from withering. The imagery of water and blooming adds a sense of vitality and growth to the poem.

The lines "With true love I do shower my flower, its picture will always be in black and white" express a sentiment of eternal love and admiration. The absence of death in the flower's dictionary conveys a sense of everlasting beauty and permanence.

The final lines bring the focus back to the speaker's personal connection with the rose flower. The phrase "These my hands and mind understand fully the word delicate" reflects an understanding and appreciation for the fragile nature of the flower. The poem concludes with a declaration of ownership and affection, with the speaker professing their love for their special rose flower.

Overall, "MY ROSE FLOWER" is a touching and well-crafted poem that captures the essence of love, beauty, and the fragility of life. The use of vivid imagery, emotional language, and a consistent theme throughout the poem creates a strong impact on the reader. Well done Matilda!
