Time for Everything

Matilda phiri

There's a time for everything on Earth. Time, in itself, adheres to its unique schedule. For instance, 12 o’clock cannot be 10 o’clock. Each moment in time carries its distinct essence. Not every day is a Sunday; Monday is bound to arrive. The Bible also emphasizes the existence of distinct times - a time to plant and a time to harvest, a time to be born and a time to die, a time to give and a time to receive, a time for legal matters and a time to be free, a time for tears and a time for joy, a time for singleness and a time for marriage. Problems arise when impatience overrides your own timing. It's akin to desiring the fruits of your labor immediately after planting the seeds. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. Real miracles are rare; they lose their mystique if they occur too frequently. So, don't be misled, my friends.

Today, many young people, women, and men yearn for instant gratification. They hope that life's complexities will magically align in the blink of an eye. Entrepreneur’s dream of seeing their businesses thrive and generate substantial profits within mere months of inception. Young women aspire to wed quickly, searching for wealthy spouses. Young men seek beautiful women with captivating personalities immediately, as they don't believe there's time to nurture such qualities. Those in relationships expect instantaneous transformations from their partners, unwilling to wait for personal growth or authentic affection. When relationships dissolve, some are unwilling to accept the outcome, resorting to self-destructive behaviors, including suicide, to escape heartbreak. Musicians crave immediate fame and immense wealth, in Chichewa, we say, ‘Pompopompo’ – it doesn't work that way. In all these scenarios, we overlook the fact that there's a designated time for everything. Satan has exploited this "get rich or die trying" mentality, leading many souls to destruction due to impatience. Slow down; your time will come. God created each person with a purpose.

Before making any life-altering decision, always take the time to think and then act. Never lose sight of the fact that there's a designated time for everything. Today might not favor your desires, but tomorrow may bring the changes you seek. A person may not harbor affection for you today, but with patience, love may blossom tomorrow. Why mar your life with stress, anxiety, and thoughts of self-harm? Relax; you have a Creator who fashioned you for a purpose. He knows you better than you know yourself. He comprehends what's best for you and the perfect timing He has orchestrated. His plans for your life are extraordinary, and your existence signifies that God has something remarkable in store for you. Embrace life and unveil the wonders God has prepared.

God is abundant in love and offers numerous opportunities for success. He hasn't placed you on Earth to lead a fruitless existence. He has a special plan for you, but the issue lies in our impatience for immediate results. This "get rich or die trying" mentality has rendered your problems, sufferings, poverty, sickness, and challenges inconsequential in His eyes. However, in His own time, He recognizes your potential for success, healing, and fulfillment. All you need is a little patience and faith that your time is drawing near, regardless of the adversities you may currently face, for everything has its appointed time. Hence, the Bible declares that without faith, it's impossible to please God. Trust in Him and His ordained timing. Maintain your belief.

God hasn't forgotten you; it's a matter of your time. Be patient, keep doing what's right. Don't cease your virtuous actions, for your time will come, and you'll be amazed to witness it unfold before your eyes. There's no need to harm yourself; doing so is a waste of time. You can't predict what awaits you after death, and your issues may resolve themselves with time while you're still alive. No situation is permanent. Every problem on Earth has a solution. Seek answers from God, engage your powerful brain in contemplation, and reach out to friends, neighbours, relatives, or even strangers for advice and support. Stay resilient, and always remember that there's a time for everything. Taking your own life today may rob you of the potential for transformation that's just around the corner. Think twice before you act. You were created for a purpose, to fill a specific role. Don't extinguish your light; you are a victor. Believe!
