The Bible, what a book! It’s not just a book it is more than that. It’s direct word of God to his people. The bible cannot be compared to any book on earth. It contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners and the happiness of believers. Its doctrines are holy, its histories are true and its decisions are immutable. Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe and practice it to be holy. It contains light to direct you, food to support you and comfort to cheer you.

Bible is the traveller's map, the pilgrim's staff, the soldiers’ sword and the Christian's charter. Here paradise is restored, heaven opened and the gates of hell closed. Christ is its grand subject, our God the design and the glory of God its end. The bible should fill the memory, the heart and guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently and prayerfully. It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory and a river of pleasure. If you condemn it you are doomed forever unless you repent.

 The bible has everything that you need in life. You can find true love through bible and be fulfilled. You can never long for love somewhere or from someone because the bible says you are already loved by God and that’s what matters in this life. All your marriage problems including all life solutions you're looking for are found in this great book. If you need riches, long and healthy life, blessings, healing etc all these things are there in the bible. If you are built in the word of God, the bible, you show maturity in everything you do; you speak and judge people in a right way. I can bet you if you have a problem and have been faced with a certain challenge for a long time, it’s now time to read your bible. My friend you will never be the same, you will see God telling you what to do.

You really need to read your bible every day. It's very important thing to remember every day seeking God’s words. I love reading Psalms because to me it's like prayers and if I do recite them. God answers my prayers. The story of Job is also a touching one, you need to know it, and it will encourage your faith in Christ knowing that even though troubles may come you will defeat them all.

 Revelation book is also good for you because it reveals, foretell the future what you should expect and what you should do. Matthew book is very important as well that you should know the story about Jesus’ birth and his prophecies. All these bible books show you how powerful it is to the world and to you individually.

 If you do not have a bible please buy one for yourself. It’s better to have a bible than to have food in the house. It is written in the bible in Deuteronomy 8 verse 3, that man shall not live by bread alone but every word that precede in the mouth of God. Yes, so do me a favour now read Deuteronomy 28, the whole chapter, it's my lovely and favourite chapter which is straightforward. It is a chapter of a tit for tat fair game between man and God.

 ACTIVITY

1. Make a Bible plan, the books you want to read and read them every day.

2. Make time to read your Bible.

3. Make time for Bible study with your family.

4. Share the word of God with friends and neighbours.
