Thank you for the opportunity to promote our brand through your Blog, we are more than just pleased to share our story with you. 

Our pottery products are produced near Kamuzu international Airport in Lumbadzi, Lilongwe in a village called Mchepa. Hence the name of the pottery studio, Mchepa Pottery. The pottery is a subsidiary of IMATEC Limited Company which was founded in 2022 by Mr Boniface Ngomwa, Mr Titus Tsilizani Malakwa and Mr Christopher Schmidpeter. 

The products range from Table ware (including vases, teapots, casseroles, bowls, dinner plates, mugs etc) which are mostly decorated with traditional and animal print, to promote the Malawi Cultural Heritage. Most of these products are sold as gift items, but are also sold at household levels and to corporate clients. 





The company has also recently invested in a new line of construction products. These include porcelain Sinks and Porcelain wall and floor Tiles. IMATEC is the first Malawian owned company to produce such industrial products. All products are produced using Locally sourced Raw Materials.





Beyond Ceramics manufacturing, the pottery studio also offers one an amazing experience through training sessions. The training sessions give one an amazing experience of making and decorating one’s own pottery for use or as gift items. The sessions are in two groups, daily walk in sessions (at MK5000.00 per session per person) and one month full basics program (MK 50,000.00). The walk in sessions are designed to offer a fun experience and are hence optimized for birthday treats, picnics etc… a fun way to productively spend your day. The monthly sessions are designed to give one a full basic introduction to pottery making through practical sessions and are delivered on the basis of two sessions per week.
