Be Specific in Prayer-What Do You Want God to Do in Your Life?

 BE SPECIFIC IN PRAYER

Being Specific shows that you have faith. It shows in your request. God only gives you what you ask. 

Be clear and specific about what you want as you pray. Don’t pray “God bless me “ prayers.

Say how. God has put desires in your heart. Say them out. Even if it is just your own desire, say out. He is your best friend make him one and talk to him as a friend. He loves that trust me. 

Some answers are immediate. Some will manifest in due course. Some will be corrected if you are out of God’s will. ( for example, a desire to marry someone else’s husband will not be honored, it’s against the word of God. Or a desire to have your ex- husband die will not be honored. 

Many times people pray generally. And many times they pray generally  because they do not know what they want. One way to be clear about what you want is to write it down.

For example, if you want a business. Ask for it , don’t just wish. But pray in detail. What kind of business? Where? When? Where will you buy the stuff? Are you going to rent? How much money do you need? And things like that. So you present to God a business plan. God works with clear vision. He might change your plan but it will be for good. But at least you have specifically and clearly written it down. It will bring better results because you know what you want.

If you want to go back to school, tell God your preferred school, what do you want to study. What will you need. Mention figures where they matter. God wants you to be specific.

If you want a job, tell God what you want. What type? Where? What do you want to be paid. 

Be specific about the man you want to marry. Be specific about your healing. 

Be specific about what you want in marriage. Do you want to be held, do you want communication to improve? Do you want to speak better? Or be a better homemaker? Or have a good bedroom life? Or you want to understand your man or him you? Pray in detail! 

Be specific about your investment. Want  do want ? House? How many rooms? Where? 

Land? How big? Where? . 

Clothes? What kind? How many? 

Pray specifically about 2023. Pray in detail.  

Jabez had a problem. He was born  in a family of pain. They even named him pain  He wanted things to change.  He decided to pray about it. If he had not prayed nothing would have happened. 

So His request had some specifications: Bless me, enlarge my territory, let your hand be on me, keep me from harm

“Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, saying, “I gave birth to him in pain.” Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.”

‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭4‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The Bible says the Lord granted his request. He was specific. 

Ask God clearly. He wants you to. Don’t forget to ask big . Be bold. Be clear.

2. Ask God for your needs. Be specific 

When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” “Yes, Lord,” they replied.

Matthew 9:28 NIV

 “What do you want me to do for you?” “Lord, I want to see,” he replied. Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.”

Luke 18:41‭-‬42 NIV

Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”;
