Letter From Fan-Commenting on Article of Being Specific in Prayer

Morning Mattie, I am Simon Golo Nkhoma and I joined MAWU (Malawi Writers Union) forum two weeks ago.  I just want to comment on the highlighted article ' Being Specific in Prayer.' At St Columba CCAP Church in Blantyre, we are on a weeklong Teaching on keys and hindrances to answered prayer. It started on Monday through Fridays from 18:00-20:00hours. Afternoons on Saturday and Sunday Preachers: Reverend Reynold Mangisa and guest speaker, Pastor Dalitso Numeri. They speak on alternating days.  Rev. Mangisa gave a preamble of the topic during last Sunday service on 26th June, 2023.  When I arrived home from church and opened my phone, I saw your article. I didn't open it but I was amazed.  I attended the first day on Monday with Pastor. Numeri. Then yesterday, I remembered that I hadn't yet gone through your article. So I found quality time (lunch hour) to do justice to your article. Put simply, I was impressed.  I immediately heeded your advice by listing dow

Guest Writer: Andy Kanyuka Genre: Article, Profession: Writer, Actor, Scriptwriter, Entrepreneur,   Location: Malawi When we experience intense emotions such as obsession, betrayal, and death, it can often feel like our entire world has turned upside down. These experiences are overwhelming and can have a profound impact on both our mental and physical well-being. While the mental and emotional effects of these experiences are well documented, it's essential to understand the physical manifestations that can occur as well. Obsession is a compulsive preoccupation with a particular person, object, or idea. While we often think of obsession as an emotional state, it can have significant physical effects as well. Physical signs of obsession can include insomnia, loss of appetite, and a heightened risk of developing mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety. The brain's response to an obsession can be particularly strong, as researchers have found that people who are o

Be Specific in Prayer-What Do You Want God to Do in Your Life?

Image
BE SPECIFIC IN PRAYER Being Specific shows that you have faith. It shows in your request. God only gives you what you ask.  Be clear and specific about what you want as you pray. Don’t pray “God bless me  “ prayers. Say how. God has put desires in your heart. Say them out. Even if it is just your own desire, say out. He is your best friend make him one and talk to him as a friend. He loves that trust me.  Some answers are immediate. Some will manifest in due course. Some will be corrected if you are out of God’s will. ( for example, a desire to marry someone else’s husband will not be honored, it’s against the word of God. Or a desire to have your ex- husband die will not be honored.  Many times people pray generally. And many times they pray generally  because they do not know what they want. One way to be clear about what you want is to write it down. For example, if you want a business. Ask for it , don’t just wish. But pray in detail. What kind of business? Where? When? Where will

Benefits of Okra and Okra Recipes

Image
By Matilda Phiri I love Okra . I can eat it every day. Not only does it taste delicious, but it also offers numerous health benefits. Some of the key benefits of okra include moisturizing the skin, supporting a healthy immune function, fighting infections, and potentially having anti-cancer properties. This vegetable is incredibly nutritious, providing essential vitamins and minerals. For example, it is an excellent source of Vitamin C, which is crucial for a strong immune system. Additionally, okra is low in calories, making it a great choice for those watching their weight, while still being packed with beneficial nutrients. Another noteworthy nutrient found in okra is Vitamin K, which aids in blood clotting. Furthermore, okra's sticky and watery nature can help moisturize your skin. When it comes to cooking okra, it's important to avoid boiling it for too long as this can cause a loss of nutrients. Ideally, boiling for around 2 to 3 minutes is sufficient to retain its nu
