HOW TO STRATEGICALLY PRAY FOR FINANCIAL BREAKTHROUGH

The natural thing for people to do when they are suffering is to concentrate on what is going on and feel sorry for themselves .

Even when they pray they are just praying for God to do "anything " for relief.

This applies to all areas of our lives but let us talk about finances .

Many people are struggling financially but praying for God to do just anything . For some, there is a sense that life is unfair . We are praying emotionally.

But we serve a very specific God. Jesus would ask, " what do you want me to do for you?' " .

Because what you specifically ask, God will do. You must be specific.

God does what you ask. And if you ask vaguely  you limit yourself.

In fact the Bible says a double minded man will get nothing from the Lord, so be focused :

“But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”

‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬-‭8‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Being clear about what you want God to do for you is faith .

If you are praying for a financial breakthrough,  be specific about what you want . Then God will see that you are serious.

Calculate figures.  Write lists and goals to present to God in prayer.

Don’t let the devil or yourself tell you God can't help you. Don't dwell on what has been going on because it can make you doubt.  Don't focus on the economy because the blessing of God does not depend on the economy. Don't focus on people , government,  relatives etc. Don’t focus on the past and the bad things that happened to you. You are working with God now.

Free your mind and dream. And focus on the future.

Stop crying  and think clearly. Realistically.  Be realistic.

You can not say, for example, " ' God give me a job opening as a manager',  when you don't have the qualification and experience.  That can be a goal written for five or whatever years after now.

But as for now,  where are you ?  Where  do you start ? What job would be  open for you.

And stop saying, "Give me any job Lord."

Which companies can employ you,  what position? How much would you want to be paid ?  Which city or area ?

Write down 5 companies you are interested in. Or even one  specific one  if your faith is focused . That means you actually  do research . Use your data for internet research not just relaxing on WhatsApp.

You can also do this with business . Maybe you are a natural entrepreneur.  Or  it is clear to you that in this season business is the way to make extra money. Write down and think though what business you will do.

How much money do you need to start.? What things do you need to start.? Do you need people to help you ? At what costs ? Transport ?  Do clear calculations.  Again,  do the research.

The story is usually, I don’t have capital . Let me say that true entrepreneurs can make it work without capital . Maybe you need capital for the main thing but you can be able to start doing something to raise capital.  So your aim is to start selling second hand clothes, for example, but you don't have money. You can start with a lower cost business and save towards the target business.

The point is,  there comes a time when you rise above fear and frustration, wipe your tears and write down a clear plan.

Our God is a stratergic business person. He  funds vision not wishful thinking. When he sees you  praying with clear goals, He moves.

He doesn't waste money on vague dreams. It is called PRO-VISION because it provides for a vision.

So stop panicking and get to work. Prayerfully think and write down what you want in this season and within a year,   five years and so forth.

Then pray  systematically.  It shows faith. And God is moved by faith not need.

Hebrews 11:6 ESV

[6] And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

Mark 10:51 ESV

[51] And Jesus said to him, “What do you want me to do for you?” And the blind man said to him, “Rabbi, let me recover my sight.”

Matthew 9:29 ESV

[29] Then he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith be it done to you.”
